Voting is compulsory if you are enrolled in any of the above local council areas.

You may need to check your enrolment or verify that you are enrolled in Bland, Warren - A Ward or Wellington local council areas.

Voting is compulsory for all residential electors enrolled in a Council area in which there are elections for councillors or mayors or there is a referendum.

Voting is also compulsory for all electors on the non-residential rolls of the Council of the City of Sydney. Voting is not compulsory for electors enrolled on all other Councils’ non-residential rolls.

The penalty for not voting in local government elections is $55.00.
If you were unable to vote on Saturday 13 September and you believe you have a valid reason for not voting, you may call 1300 135 736 to avoid a penalty notice being issued.
